[クイズ日記. 02] カバディ基礎知識
クイズ知識は一つ一つ積み上げていかないとつかないので、今回はインドの国技のカバディについて簡単にまとめようと思う(スポーツが苦手分野なので)。
<基礎知識>
カバディは各チーム7名ずつ、２チームで行われるインドの国技です。
攻撃側を「レイダー」、守備側を「アンティ」と言います。
特徴としてはレイダーが「カバディ、カバディ...」と叫び続ける「キャント」と呼ばれる行為があります。
男子: 13m×10mのコート、前後半それぞれ20分ハーフで休憩をはさみ5分
女子: 11m×8mのコート、15分ハーフで休憩は5分である
勝利条件は、レイダーが相手のコート内に入り、アンティにタッチしたのちに自陣に戻ること(このポイントを保持している状態をストラグルという)
しかし、守備側もレイダーの四肢や胴体を捕まえる(キャッチング)などしてそれを阻止することもできる。
また、レイダーは三回連続で攻撃しない試合(Empty Raid)が続くと、３回目のレイダーはアウトとなり、相手に特典が入る仕組みになっている(これをDo or Die Raid(サードレイド)という)
そのため、レイダーも攻撃しにいかなくてはいけないのだ。
ただ、レイダーが全員アウトになって、コート内に残っている選手がいない場合は2点を相手チーム側に入れる代わりに、自チームの選手を全員復活させることができる(ローナ)
<雑学系知識>
Q1. カバディはなぜ七人なの？
A1. インドの二大叙事詩の一つ『マハーバーラタ』に「主人公の息子がクル戦争で七人の敵に囲まれ、突破をしようと試みるが力尽きる」という記述があったため。
Q2. 一息ずっと続いたらキャントし続けられて、無敵では？
A2. キャントが長く続きすぎて、あまりにも長いレイドになったときは、キャントアウトが審判から言い渡されるので、それはないです。
Q3. タイムアウトにはどんな種類がある？
A3. テクニカルタイムアウト、メディカルタイムアウト、ジャッジングタイムアウトの3種類。
Q4. コート外に体の一部が出たらアウト？
A4. コート外の地面に体の一部がつかなければアウトではないです。ただ、ついていた場合は普通にアウトなので、ラインアウトが審判からコールされます。
Q5. クイズに使えそうなかっこいい言葉他にない？
A5. どこに書こうか迷っていた「スーパータックル」「ファイブレイド」の二つがある。
「スーパータックル」はアンティが3人以下の場合に、レイダーをアウトにさせることで2点獲得すること。
「ファイブレイド」は、試合終了時に得点が同点だった場合に行われる、サッカーのPK戦のようなもの。
Q6. カバディが国際大会で正式種目になったのは？
A6. アジア競技大会で1990年北京大会より正式種目になった。
Q7. 日本はどれくらい活躍している？
A7. 日本代表は広州で行われた2010年アジア競技大会で、初の銅メダル獲得しているなど、国際スポーツ界でも活躍し始めている。今後に期待する。

知り合いの方から「クイズしか投稿していないし、全然投稿していないじゃん！」と軽く怒られたので、ディベート日記の方を簡単に付けていこうと思います。
最近は高校生ディベートを始める学校も多く出てきた印象を持ちます。それらの学校で困っていることとしてよく挙げられるものとしては①練習方法②論の立て方③そもそもディベートとは、など多くあります。その中でも実際に質問されたものの一つ「古典論題とは何か」について今回は書いていきたいと思います(他は気が向いたら書きます)。
古典論題とは、ディベート大会や練習などでよく利用される論題のことです。その定義は人と年代によってまちまちで、一概に言うこともできません。ただ、最近はEquityの考えの浸透で、あまりにもトラウマを起草させるものや心に傷を負わせる古典論題は減少傾向にあります。しかし、高校生大会や中学生大会では先生方が運営されている関係で、そこまで手が回らずに、EquityのシステムやOpt outシステムがないという状況が残ってしまっているのが実情です。
今回は、なるべくEquityに引っかからない古典論題を列挙しておくので、練習時にお使いください(順次更新していく予定です)。
